Went to this server after seeing a post on Khadgar's Forums seeking members. They were not upfront with their current situation. Only able to get 18-21 members on for raids. This was our 2nd week with them and the GM prefers to hold the ID and prevent the guild from raiding till H PP is dead when they can't fill the raid, going to this server was a mistake. |

Reapers of Faith: Khadgar: Most of the Lycans went here and being their Raid Leader I followed. Left when we were unable to progress.
Apatheia: Khadgar: Too much drama on not enough progression. Officers worried more about their personal gain over guild progression. |

Why do you want to join Surreality?

My Fianceé and I are looking to experience a positive end game and transition into the upcoming xpac. I found your post on the main WoW forums and we would like to be part of a guild that still has content to clear in WotLK. We both enjoy a drama free game with an adult mindset and Surreality brings everything to the plate thats we are seeking. |

What do you have to offer the guild? What are your expectations for us?

I am laid back and always willing to lend a helping hand. If thats helping farm stuff for the guild bank to make sure the raid is well fed with fish before each boss. Or helping other guild members run dungeons or raids for alts leveling or leveled or for the fun of achievements. I am always down for fun and joking around, but know when its time for progression its time to buckle down and get things done. Together we can accomplish a common goal of finishing the remaining content of WotLK. |

What is your current talent distribution? How, or why, did you choose it? (Explain dubious talent choices. An acceptable answer to this question is not "because I was told to by a guild member in "x." Just like High School Math, show your work.)

I have chosen my talent build based on a long study on EJ and talking with other Elemental Shaman. This has become the "cookie cutter" raid build. I'm always open to theory crafting and testing the dummies to make sure I'm still up to par, or if I am able to set the new "bar."
have done an indepth write up for the guild Apatheia on the in's and out's of the Ele Sham.
I chose troll when I went Horde because of the haste since my Off Spec is Resto and the haste is better then the spell power.
The current state of the elemental shaman is that they don't scale well with gear. So they gain their bonus's from the equip bonus's on the items. That being said I'd say the order of getting gear with be Hit - SP - Haste - Crit for the fresh 80. Once you have the 4 set T10 you dont have to really worry about hit as long as you keep it around 289 with a Boom or SPriest and the hard cap is 368. The haste is now the most important stat after you break 3k unbuffed Spell Power I'm currently over the 1200 Haste mark and still want more to test. Crit I feel as long as its over 35% unbuffed your fine. Elem Shaman are crit machines. |

What is your preferred raid role? If this role isn't available, are you willing to respec?

I prefer Elemental. I am more of a "support" healer in my off spec, I'm new to the healing and as of right now I use healbot and "Make the green bars go up". I haven't played Enhance since the end of Nax25 I would not have a problem respecing to it but would need gear and time to shake the rust. |

If you're applying as a DPS class, can you explain the basics of your rotation/priority system, and why you use it?

I try to keep @ 25yrds just in Wind Shear range and with my current haste my Lava Burst and Chain Lightning hit at the same time. If I'm unable to stay at the 25 Yard because of raid movement or situational awareness the range is on the back burner.
First I drop my Totems: Totem of Wrath which I still have glyphed for the extra Spell Power, Stoneskin/Tremor, Healing or Mana if no Pally Wis or Resto Sham, and Wrath of Air.
I open with a macro of my Elemental Mastery and Flame Shock so the DoT has the extra haste from the start and my Lava Burst is an instant cast.
My Lava Burst is also Macro'd with Elemental Mastery, my Engineer Glove Chant and now Troll Racial(was prev. Ally so this is bonus to my play style).
I follow up with a Chain Lighting which in a perfect position will land just as the Lava Burst hits the target.
I spam Lighting Bolt till my Lava Burst is off Cool Down then repeat. Making sure my Flame shock is always up and with a well placed Blood Lust to ensure a clean boss kill. |

No one has their ideal gear, and getting that gear we want is part of the reason for raiding. Can you point out any problems you see in your own gearing at the moment, and explain your plans to address those issues?

I'm still trying to do the perfect balance between haste sp and crit. I'd like to find the mace off LK. I am also above the soft cap of hit. I am trying to figure out where I can drop small amounts of hit and still keep myself at the cap with a Boom/SPriest. |

Describe your previous raid experience. What is your favorite boss fight? Why?

Lackluster to be short. The 20 min before boss pulls, people not being pre-paired, people not listening to the Raid Leader, or the Raid Leader spending weeks on the same raid lockouts and beating their heads against the wall untill the zone buff makes their strat work instead of working with the raid comp you have. Progression is key and why we play.
I like the HM Mim. Even with gear it forces everyone to be situationally aware and proves that all the gear in the world a good player it will not make! |

How many times a week are you willing to raid? When are you available?

7 days on and off during the day and raid from 8pm-1am. |

How do you spend your time in-game outside of raid time?

Currently farming for fish, some PvP, running old raids and instances for mounts with my Fianceé and now that I'm Horde I have all the Horde quests in Northrend open and doing them for even more gold. |

Tell us about a time you wiped your group or raid.
|
Well after 40 min of trying to figure out a strat for 25 man Korolon I had a hunter MD the boss to this other Shaman that was bugging me about his place on the meters. Now what happened was epic in my book not only did I kill the Shammy the raid died, then people were running in after releasing got sucked back into Korolons hand and died again. I did take full responcibility for the wipe and said exactly why I did it. Meters should not be the main focus of the raid, clean boss kills and progression should be. |

I think it was during a WG Battle I came back still alive and we won so I got my 3 marks for it. I really dont like to afk much. |

Jut that Bib and I enjoy our time in game together. I would ask that you look at both our apps together for your decision. We share the same raid exp and skill level. We both enjoy helping others and doing anything it takes to get the job done. We also have alts of ICC 10 gear we don't look to get carried with them but they are their if you need to fill a 10 man run. She has a Holy Pally named Xref and I have an Aff Lock named Plyght. Both are on the Eldre'Thalas Server
