Why are you looking to leave?
|
I am in the same boat as Cigismund. Cigismund and I were officers in TaN until we were demoted for missing an unscheduled raid. It’s not that big of a deal to me anymore but it is still a reason. Also, me and Cigismund are very good friends in real life and I would like to go back to raiding with my best friend. I will miss most of them but I really need a change. |

What other guilds have you been in?

I raided during BC on Perenolde in a guild named West Coast Raiders. This was my first serious raiding guild I have ever joined and it was right around the time of all the progression at the first of the game where the highest raid was SSC and TK. We raided all the way through BT but never really hit SWP as hard as we should of. Once WoTLK was released I leveled as fast as I could to 80 but the rest of my guild wasn’t exactly doing the same so I took a break from the game. Cigismund sparked my interest back into the game so I transferred to Boulderfist (TaN’s original home), and worked my way into the guild. |

Why do you want to join Surreality?
|
I am looking to hit hard modes hard with excelling raiders that are dead set on the same thing, while also forging friendships with these excelling raiders. The raid times are outstanding for me seeing as I prefer to raid later and the times are an hour later than TaN’s. From what Cig and Alsonia tell me the raids are ran very professionally, also vent is kept very quite but at the same time has room for a joke or two :). I am also looking to set in stone a guild that will hit cataclysm early and be dedicated to hit all the first content early. Also I would really love to raid with my real life best bud again! |

What do you have to offer the guild? What are your expectations for us?

I will bring outstanding performance as well as attendance. I was a top dps in TaN constantly at 11-13K, I use my own food and use two haste pots every fight. I know every way around every HM fight inside ICC except LK. I am early to every raid and will be online a lot. I am always down to help guildies out with whatever they need whether it be an actual task, question about a mechanic, or just whatever they might need hehe. I am a dedicated raider who constantly still studies my class always looking for a edge. My expectations for the guild is to have a dedicated fierce environment of thriving raiders. |

I was introduced to Alsonia by Cigismund before he joined the guild. Have talked to him quite a bit since then and is a pretty cool dude and skilled player :). Also Cig, being one of my best real life buddies lol |

What is your current talent distribution? How, or why, did you choose it? (Explain dubious talent choices. An acceptable answer to this question is not "because I was told to by a guild member in "x." Just like High School Math, show your work.)

I am specc’d 20/51/0 sword/axe hack and slash combat. This combat spec is pretty strait forward. I have no points in blood splatter removing rupture from my rotation. This is the same spec used by most of the combat rogues in the world’s top guilds at the time. I chose this spec because it is simply the best performing combat spec for some of the most difficult HM’s. I did a lot of research on the top guilds and checked many log’s to compare the numbers to the different spec’s. |

If you're applying as a DPS class, can you explain the basics of your rotation/priority system, and why you use it?
|
My rotation is pretty simple but very affective. I start out of stealth with a haste pot and popping tricks, seeing as starting a fight in stealth now is really just a waste of energy. I then use my sinister strike atleast 3 times (sometimes more if I have a proc and gain some instant energy), basically until I run out of energy. I then pop killing spree giving some more burst damage but also regenning my energy back to 100. Then I pop my SnD, enj haste on gloves, blood fury racial, adrenaline rush and blade flurry. I then proceed to go to town getting all of the evescirate’s out I can before I have to refresh SnD. I do this and pretty much just rinse and repeat. |

Surreality logs can be found at http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/4972/. You will be held to the standard of being able to put out numbers reasonably close to ours. Do you feel that this is something you're capable of doing? Do you have any applicable logs of your performance?

I will have no problems holding my own on the log's, I can guarantee you. I wish I had log's of my performance but TaN never did world of log's. |

No one has their ideal gear, and getting that gear we want is part of the reason for raiding. Can you point out any problems you see in your own gearing at the moment, and explain your plans to address those issues?

I am geared for my spec, mostly arp gear 264’s and some 277’s. I use the 2 piece bonus of the t10 both token pieces and that is it seeing as if you go more with t10 while combat your ArP will suffer. Also the 4 piece bonus of the set is pretty much just obsolete with combat. I spreadsheet my entire gear setup before I even think about messing with a couple of pieces. Much study and thought goes into my gear before I consider going for it. |

Describe your previous raid experience. What is your favorite boss fight? Why?

I hate to say it but in WotLK so far it has to be the LK fight, it’s a long fight that requires every role to just be on top of their game the entire fight. If one person just slightly messes up one a one mechanic it could be the end of the entire raid it’s amazing. It truly is a great end raid boss.
In BC my favorite would have to go to lady vashj, I remember my guild being on her for almost 3 weeks, it had a ton of stuff going on just like the LK fight and finally when you dropped her for that first time it was just so overwhelming. I loved it :).

What add-ons do you use? What add-on can't you live without? Why? Can you include a screenshot of your raiding ui?

I have a pretty simple, effective set up. I use DXE boss mods, omen, bartender, shadowed unit frames, cooldown count, rogue power bars, bagnon, elkano buff bars, shexy map, and recount. I could not live without DXE, the timers have been more reliable to me than DBM and it just takes less room for me, its more simple :). Other than I couldnt live without bagnon hehe, need all my bags together! Here is a pic.

How many times a week are you willing to raid? When are you available?

As many times as the guild is running, whether it be just three nights for 25man or 4,5 nights for 25 and 10man. |

How do you spend your time in-game outside of raid time?
|
While not raiding if I'm not leveling my hunter (currently 78 :D) I'll most likely be in dal chatting with guildies and other in game friends trying to cut some gems and make some money hehe. I'm also always down for acheiv runs. Herald of the titans anybody?!?!?! |

Tell us about a time you wiped your group or raid.

It's safe to say one of the only times I have ever wiped a raid is one raid night while I was eating dinner I had my auto run on going strait to a boss and thought I took it off as I looked down for another bite while my rogue still ran strait to the boss's legs. I don't eat and raid anymore haha |

I really don't have a story for this one hehe. I just never honestly afk in a raid, I have these times set in real life too where I know nothing will disturb me. I only leave the keyboard really to just refill a drink. |
