Are you currently guilded? If so, with whom?

I am currently unguilded at the moment. I was in the guild "The Brave Little Toaster" however they stopped raiding due to attrition. I still love seeing content and working with a group to down bosses so I'm moving on. |

Why are you looking to leave?
|
I wasn't looking to leave when we were raiding, however with the changes to a more casual/PvP focused guild I'm decided to on. |

What other guilds have you been in?
|
I have been Horde for most of my expansion experience but at around the release of TOC, I had a really "good" idea to faction transfer and play Alliance with some friends. I was miserable. I returned to Horde within a month and have been drifting ever since. I raided with a guild named Thunder Downunder on the Alliance side on the Kargath realm. they were a really fun group of people who raided however they were not progression focused. |

Why do you want to join Surreality?

I read up on you guys after I saw your recruitment post and I wanted in from the first time I saw this: "We have a “fun and friendship first; progression second” philosophy towards raiding, and measure our successes not in terms of how quickly we can down bosses, but in how much fun we have getting there." This is perfect. |

What do you have to offer the guild?
|
I switched to my rogue towards the end of BC when our guild needed "moar deepz" for Black Temple. This began my constant obsession with spreadsheets, shadowpanthers, and forum posts. I constantly min/max my information to get the absolute most DPS out of a situation, I have loved the rogue class and played it almost exclusively from that point on. I did have a "caster might be fun" moment which didn't work out so well for me. :P |

What are your expectations for us?

If I were to join Surreality, I would only expect what was posted on the front of the website;
"We have a “fun and friendship first; progression second” philosophy towards raiding, and measure our successes not in terms of how quickly we can down bosses, but in how much fun we have getting there. " I hope to make lasting friends that raid throughout the next expansion and as many different expansions. |

None at the moment. I do plan on creating a toon and talking to an officer at some point today. |

What is your current talent distribution? How, or why, did you choose it?

What is your preferred raid role? If this role isn't available, are you willing to respec?

I love DPS but I also understand that rogues can offer more in certain fights. Recently I was the only toon able to tranq the adds on the Lich King. I enabled my poison swapper addon followed the raid leaders instructions as to how he wanted the strategy completed. This was an obvious DPS loss to me but I didn't mind because we were learning the Lich King and it would help the raid progress. I don't mind sacrificing my personal DPS numbers for the good of the group.
If the raid needs me to respec Combat, that is fine with me. I was originally a Combat rogue however my guild needed me to go Mutilate so thats why I switched. I did enjoy mutilate better as it matched my playstyle a little better. |

Describe your previous raid experience.

I have been raiding since Molten Core and in as many different roles. I started out as a healing priest throughout Original WoW content and we cleared MC, BWL, AQ20, AQ40 (post Cthun nerf of course :) ) ZG, and only 1 wing in Naxx (spider wing). Then when BC hit, my guild needed an OT so I switched it up (and eventually became he MT). We raided Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon, SSC, TK, BT and some of Sunwell. As I mentioned previously, our guild was full on tanks but needed some melee DPS so I swapped again and have been DPS throughout all of WotLK. I have cleared Naxx, Ulduar (some hard modes), ToC10/25 (experience through ToGC25 Faction Champs), ICC 10 man through Sindragosa (with about 10 attempts on Lich King - got him to P3 :) ) |

What is your favorite boss fight? Why?

I enjoy really technical fights that make me think and move instead of just "stab/stab/vanish". I really liked Yogg-Saron (and even moreso with only 3 lights up) as I felt that encouter really made me learn how to keep my class alive and survive through all the craziness. I also really enjoy the technical craziness of Putricide as it requires situational awareness and surviveability moreso than all-out crazy DPS. |

What add-ons do you use? What add-on can't you live without? Why?

X-Perl, Mik's Scrolling Combat Text, Poison Swapper (only for fights like Lich King where I have to tranquilize adds), Omen, DBM, Recount, Dominos (on some toons). The add-on I can't live without would probably be X-Perl. |

How many times a week are you willing to raid? When are you available?
|
I will make myself available whenever the raids are scheduled. I take raiding seriously like any commitment and do what I can to meet those commitments when people depend on me. |

How do you spend your time in-game outside of raid time?
|
I usually farm for raids and level alts. I don't enjoy leveling however I love to raid and I love to raid all toons to see how each of them perform. |

Tell us about a time you wiped your group or raid.
|
Where do I begin - in all my years of raiding I have caused some wipes. Most were due to chatting on vent and not paying attention. I wiped us on Yogg-Saron when I got to close inside the door on our first trip there. I wiped us another time on Magtheridon when I was explaining the fight, telling the tanks where to stand and auto-attacked the channeler. I will make mistakes however i never make them again :) |

Mine? I don't go AFK during raids until the raid leader calls a break or my eyeballs are floating. We did have a MT healer go AFK in the middle of a fight (said he really had to go to the bathroom) on Terron Gorefiend and the other healers picked it up. That healer never logged on again. I hope everything went ok. |

I love to raid and I don't mind learning better ways to make and learn my class. I feel like I would be a solid melee addition to any 10-man or 25-man group. |
